THE PARK SAWANGAN OFFICIALLY OPENS WITH COVID-19 PREVENTION TECHNOLOGY
Sawangan, 16 July 2020 – NWP Retail opens a new shopping mall The Park Sawangan, in Depok, Greater Jakarta, on July 3rd, 2020.
Designed by renowned architecture firm from the United States Callison RTKL, The Park Sawangan started construction in October 2018 on an area of 52,000 m2, in a five-floored building. This mall has a total floor area (GFA) of 56,528 m2 and a leased area (NLA) of 36,000 m2.
Located in a very strategic site, The Park Sawangan is in the middle of residential area of Sawangan and Bojongsari and passed by Jalan Raya Parung Ciputat, Kec. Bojongsari Kota Depok, which serves as a link between Depok, Tangerang, Bogor and Jakarta.
“We are grateful that in the midst of this pandemic, we are still able to open our new shopping mall, that has been long awaited by the citizens around Sawangan and Bojongsari. Even so, the health and safety of visitors is our top priority at this moment. Therefore, we have also applied the latest COVID-19 prevention technology, in addition to strictly implementing the government’s Health Protocol,” said Teges Prita Soraya, NWP Retail Head of Commercial Marketing, The Park Sawangan holding company.
Prior to the opening, The Park Sawangan has conducted a thorough cleaning, as well as spraying disinfectant throughout mall area. This activity is carried out routinely and periodically, especially on parts that are often touched, such as door handles, escalator handrails, water taps, and also every room inside the building.
The Park Sawangan has placed several automatic counting devices with Real Time People Counting technology in every entrance, in order to control the number of customers entering the mall. “This technology enables us to limit the number of customers who enter the building, with the maximum of 50% of the total capacity”, so that the customers can shop safely and comfortably in our mall,” Teges explained.
“Moreover, we have provided touchless handwashing facilities in several entrance along with the automatic temperature check devices,” Teges added.
Carrying the tagline #BelanjaAmanDiSawangan, The Park Sawangan has been completed with latest COVID-19 prevention technologies such as touchless lift button, touchless water taps, Air Disinfection Device on the air circulation channel, which functioned to sterilize the air inside mall from viruses and bacteria, and also Automated UV Surface Disinfectant on every escalator handrail, which automatically clean the handrail using UV light while it rotates inside.
The Park Sawangan has strictly implemented COVID-19 Prevention Protocol to all customers, staffs, and also tenants, such as, compulsory hand washing before entering mall and mask wearing inside the building, temperature check and also physical distancing at all times.
“All of the tenants support our efforts in implementing COVID-19 Prevention protocol by implementing the protocol in their own outlets by re-checking the temperature, providing hand sanitizer, applying customers limitation inside the stores, as well as adjusting the seating position in their outlets so that they remain in compliance with physical distancing rules.” said Teges.
The mall houses various national and international tenants such as Matahari Department Store, Lulu Hypermarket, Uniqlo, H&M, Ace Hardware and Informa Toys Kingdom, Cinema XXI, Fun-World, Kidzilla, Fisik Sport, Erafone, Samsung, House of Towel, Batik Keris, The Body Shop, Solaria, Marugame Udon, Samsung, Bakso Lapangan Tembak, Kokumi, Starbucks, Kopi Kenangan, Brunbrun, Chatime and many more.
